No surprises, no black boxes
Good IT is mostly about doing the unglamorous things consistently. This is how we work with every client, whatever the size of the engagement.
Four stages
Assessment
Over about two weeks we interview key people and review devices, accounts, network, cloud subscriptions, backups and security settings. You receive a written report with risks ranked by impact and effort — yours to keep, whether or not you continue with us.
Proposal
A fixed-price onboarding project for urgent fixes and a monthly fee for ongoing services. Optional improvements are listed separately so you can decide when to do them.
Onboarding
We roll out monitoring, management agents and documentation in stages, always keeping a working path back. Staff get a short introduction to how to reach the helpdesk.
Operations
Day-to-day support and maintenance, a monthly report and a quarterly review with management to plan budgets and upcoming projects.
What we hold ourselves to
Named people
You know who your engineering lead is and who covers for them. They know your systems and your people.
Written down
Every system, password vault entry and procedure is documented in a place you control.
Least privilege
We use delegated, individually named admin accounts with MFA. No shared logins, no standing access we do not need.
Change control
Planned changes are announced, tested and reversible. Emergency changes are explained afterwards in plain language.
Tested backups
A backup is only real once it has been restored. We test restores on a schedule and report the results.
Honest advice
If something is not worth the money, we say so — including our own services.
A monthly report you will actually read
One page, no jargon. Detailed data is available if you want it, but the summary fits on a phone screen.
- Tickets opened and resolved, with response times against targets
- Incidents and what was done about them
- Patch and antivirus status for every device
- Backup jobs and restore tests
- Licences, renewals and upcoming costs
- Top three recommendations for next month
